Chris Paicely is the founder of StoryPaced.

He began his storytelling career as a journalist, writing stories for Patch Media, Huffington Post, Chicago Parent, Uproxx and several other publications.

Later Chris became a marketing and communications leader, serving several organizations and companies as a consultant before stepping into a marketing manager role at the Surge Institute, a national nonprofit serving emerging leaders of color in education. In his six years at Surge, Chris rose to the role of Vice President of Marketing, leading several key initiatives, including video production, annual report development, website refreshes, communications campaigns and the development of a new brand narrative for the organization.

In 2022 Chris stepped decisively into the filmmaking space, co-founding the film studio Swym Good and producing an award-winning science fiction short called ALUS. He has also co-hosted several podcasts, including Survivor’s ED, Your Favorite Movie is Racist, and Unpainted.

Chris has a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis. He is a devoted husband and father to three brilliant young men.
